So last update ended kind of abruptly, which I don't usually do but this time I was all "No, it'll be cool, I'll post the next update in like three days which isn't much of a delay" but then I got eaten by real life. Sorry 'bout that. Lets get on with this and finish it off - this'll be the final update, after which we can go to an heir poll when Carrie is kind enough to put one together.

The last letter... )

Last time we heard from the Hallows family, Ripley had a baby girl named  Norma and a baby boy named Tucker.
She met someone new and bricked up some walls. Must be time for another letter home...

Here we go )

Previously, we left Ripley pregnant and alone. In the snow.
Things do get better.

So, further adventures of Ripley Hallows.
I'm well into the gen - lots more playing than updating - so there should be no massive gaps between updates.
The whole "looking for a mate" stage might seem short, and that's because it is short - for some reason Gadwin didn't feel like screenshotting one of my play sessions early on. I re-staged a few important pictures,
but some of the situations couldn't be recreated and are therefore missing.
Hopefully things will run smoothly from here on out, otherwise we're going to have to start talking about a Hallows Curse.

Onward! )

Probably more of a prologue than an actual update, but I just couldn't wait to get started :D

a (short) start... )

Here's the sim I made for CPowell's Halloween Round Robin, The Hallows Legacy. She's been chosen by vote to be founder, which I'm pretty stoked about :D I've mailed her off to Engram, who is playing round one, but I figured I'd upload her here for anyone else who wants to nab her.

[personal profile] cpowellscircus  tagged me for this meme (a few days ago... I need to check my dreamwidth more often :D) I like it, it's cute.
I'm going to be cheater-y and tag anyone reading something interesting at the moment!

-- What book are you currently reading?
The City & The City, by China Mieville

-- How far in are you?
Just under halfway (141 out of 312 pages.)

-- What's it about?
A woman is found dead in the European city of Beszel. The story follows Inspector Tyador Borlu as he investigates the crime, both in his own city and in the other city which is intertwined with his own.

-- Are you enjoying it?
Very much. The way the story works, the relationship between the two cities, treats the surreal as ordinary without losing any of the wonder you feel as a reader. The pacing is masterful and draws you in, and I find myself thinking about the story and the characters during the day when I don't have time or the opportunity to read. If you like murder mysteries and aren't afraid of strangeness, I'd recommend the book without hesitation.

Hi! Thanks to laurenpuppetpal for the invite code, I have a Dreamwidth. I'm planning on using it primarily for stalkage purposes and don't plan to post much here at all, so if I've added you that's because I admire you deeply/like your stuff/possibly a third thing, I don't know, so feel free not to add me back. Cheers!
